FIELD SUPERVISOR

Program:                             Los Angeles Unified School District – M & O

Number of Positions:      One (1)

Salary Range:                     $81.3K to $95.6K annual base salary plus benefits

DUTIES:

• Performs on-site quality assurance project inspections, report results, prepare scope of work definitions for corrective action and manage the project to ensure full requirement compliance
• Assists in the development of projects related to the EEC, Adult Education, Board Member priority projects and Local District priority projects
• Coordinates/consults pre-design, design, and construction tasks with design management and execution team to take projects through completion
• Ensures that construction projects meet agency’s requirements
• Checks the accuracy of construction drawings in comparison to existing field conditions
• Produces project requirement documents and develops repair/replacement/upgrade/retrofit projects
• Manages/oversees both the project/program budget and schedule to meet the District’s qualitative standards
• Assists Project Manager in preparing budget estimates and constructability time schedules
• Prepares technical reports using a variety of software, such as MS Word, MS Excel
• Supports construction including project data review (contractor submittal) for compliance with specifications, review and coordination of approval of shop drawing designs and substitutions submitted by contractor
• Performs quality assurance; attend site walks and coordination meetings
• Responsible for project commissioning including observation of final testing of all systems
• Ensure all closeout materials are delivered to appropriate parties including equipment manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, electronic files and turn-over equipment
• Prepare and sign off on related close-out punch list items
• Provide project support, including transmittal records as required, of all closeout materials that has been approved for acceptance
• Performs related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or construction management.
• Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at least 10 years of experience. Four of the ten years of experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 6 or more years full time paid professional experience
• Experience working with on-site construction management teams as well as with campus administrators, faculty and staff
