Position Overview:
The Information Technology Coordinator (ITC) is a technical representative, charged with addressing the technology needs of bond funded construction projects within an assigned Region. This position will serve as a dedicated point of contact providing constant interactions with building contractors, College Project Teams (CPTs), College IT Managers/Staff, and systems installers to ensure design and functional requirements are met. The ITC will respond to all of technology project requirements and provide the CPT with the necessary support to successfully deliver construction projects on time and on budget. The ITC will identify, analyze, and resolve/troubleshoot design/construction problems, managing and coordinating the implementation of complex Information Technology (IT) and Information systems (IS) projects, including but not limited to:
• Network
• Voice and Data Systems
• Data Center
• Voice and Data Infrastructure Oversight
• Audio Visual Systems
• Smart Classrooms
• Video Conferencing
• Training Rooms
• A/V Infrastructure oversight
• Security
• CCTV/IP Surveillance
• Access Control
• Intrusion Detection
• Wide Area Emergency Broadcast System
• Security Infrastructure oversight
Position Description:
• Successfully manage and execute 5 to 10 projects simultaneously, ranging in value and complexity from $1M to $25M each
• Documents and reports all project data accurately and in a timely manner
• Successfully deliver bond-funded IT projects on schedule and within budget
• Follow and successfully execute the program Quality Management System
• Report and collaborate with the IT Project Director and Program Management Office on all IT project matters
• Review and develop bond-funded IT related contract documents and ensure deliverables are complete and accurate
• Develop scope and specifications to support bond-funded IT projects
• Coordinate budget and schedule information with the Relocation Project Manager regarding
• FF&E, Asset Disposition/Surplus, and Relocation
• Track all project status and provide management reports relative to overall program relative to construction project delivery schedules
• Plan, Organize, coordinate, and report performance of bond-funded IT projects to include cost and schedule
• Identify risks and issues and create and help execute mitigation plans
Minimum Required Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience in Management of multiple IT projects; experience within a capital improvement program and familiarity with relevant building codes and standards
• BA or BS in Computer Science or a closely related field
• Experience managing multiple IT projects with differing complexities and sizes
• Experience in the integration of audiovisual, electronic physical security and/or high speed data networks
• Detailed involvement of all parts of the project life cycle, to include planning, design, implementation and closeout
Preferred Qualifications:
• PMP, CTS, CCIE, RCDD, MCSE, ITIL
• A valid Certificate of Registration as an RCDD, CTS, CCIE, ITIL or similar
• A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) credential or equivalent
