Project Coordinator I
Client / Program: Los Angeles Community College District
Location: LACCD District Wide
Salary Range: $51.5K to $64.5K annual, depending upon experience

• Participate in training to obtain the knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost/schedule management
• Provide quality assurance to College functional staff regarding all financial tracking and cost performance
• Assist CPT Cost Analyst with the review of task order requests, change orders and amendments to ensure budget availability for campuses, accurate cost coding and reporting
• Perform data entry to operating system to assist CPT Cost Analyst with budget transfers, ETC updates, task orders, change orders, and other contracts
• Provide reporting and data mining, as requested by College Director and CPT Cost Analyst
• Assist CPT Cost Analyst to conduct cost variance analysis of reported data to identify trends and mitigate potential budget impacts
• Assist CPT Cost Analyst with the review, analysis and oversight of monthly cost reports and monthly progress reports
• Review invoices for compliance and proper coding in accordance with encumbrances
• Perform data entry to the operating system for all college invoices
• Interact as requested by Program Controls Manager, PMO Costs Analyst and CPT Cost Analyst with various technical discipline leads to understand and communicate issues and conflicts that may impact the budget or forecast
• Ensure implementation of BuildLACCD policies, procedures and plans regarding cost management of capital projects with multiple funding sources
• Assist CPT Cost Analysts with interface support for College requests of financial information
• Travel to offsite project locations, if needed
• Other job-related duties or projects as assigned

• 0-3 years minimum recent professional experience in a construction management, business management or customer based environment
• BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related degree. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
• Ability to absorb knowledge and implement into everyday tasks
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and situations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform in a business environment, maintaining professionalism in all communications and demeanor

• Experience on Educational programs/projects
• Experience on large public works programs
• Experience with Proliance or similar systems, Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel), Timekeeping system, Data-Warehouse and other systems utilized in a business environment.
