PROJECT MANAGER – COMMISSIONING & COMPLIANCE
Program: Los Angeles Unified School District – Maintenance & Operations
Salary Range: $120.0K to $145.0K annual, depending upon experience
DUTIES:
• Determines project objectives, to include commissioning requirements and plans
• Reviews design at various stages of the design process; evaluates bid documents and submittals
• Coordinates with the Project Teams to address construction deviation
• Develops test forms and check lists for construction
• Implements functional performance tests and issues progress and final reports
• Reviews and submits project acceptance forms
• Responsible for as‐built drawings, O&M Manuals, and warranty process and documents
• Develops and coordinates staff training and continuing education opportunities, i.e., seminars and workshops, to learn and share‐up‐to‐date information on Commissioning and Compliance
• Reviews and documents the trainings and updated information by developing and presenting Lessons Learned bulletins
• Direct and manage Transition Task Team.
• Performs other duties as directed by Senior Management Staff
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience:
• 15 years full time paid professional experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that included the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities
• Must have at least 5 years in a similar or equivalent position involved in the design, commissioning, and compliance processes of a large commercial and/or public or educational facility construction project
Additional Preferred Experience:
• Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
• Experience in Formal Construction Partnering
• Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
Required Education:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Licenses and Certificates:
A valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional
Engineers and Land Surveyors
