PROJECT SCHEDULER
Program: Los Angeles Unified School District – Program Support
Salary Range: $113.7K to $124.0K plus benefits
Positions Open: 1

DUTIES:
• Reviews Contractor’s Baseline schedule submissions and provides narrative
• Performs QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for conformance with contract. Reviews critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones
• Performs schedule impact analysis for contractor change orders and conducts schedule negotiations for contractor change orders
• Performs Critical Path analysis and Earned Value analysis
• Tracks and gets involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules
• 9.6 Walks the field, checks the contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress and provides reports to the project OAR and upper management
• Reads drawings to determine if work is in or out of scope, and understands terms and conditions of the contract to determine compensability, as well as concurrent delays
• Proactively anticipates schedule impacts and advises Project Team concerning the same
• Effectively communicates with the Contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters and concerns in the weekly status meetings and all other schedule related meetings
• Prepares reports as needed and directed by Management
• Communicates with Project Teams and leadership
• Actively participates in Program-level scheduling issues while administering best practices and standards
• Performs Program Schedule QA/QC reviews on a regular basis
• Performs status updates for Program Schedules/Master Schedules on a twice-monthly basis
• Ensures proper use of Program-level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity
• Develops initial project schedules in anticipation of Board Approval
• Serves as a liaison between Branches and the Program & Project Controls department

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Eight (8) years full time paid professional experience in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in educational facility or public works projects
• Proficiency in Primavera 8.1 or above and MS Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner (P3)

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior organization and planning skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
