Senior Construction Manager OAR I (M&O)

Salary: $94.0Kto $124.5K annual, depending upon experience

DUTIES:
• Manages, oversees, and coordinates various repair/replacement/upgrade3/retrofit projects and programs through project/program completion
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reports the project management activities, including project status, actions, and issue resolutions, of all projects and programs under the Project Planning and Development Unit
• Coordinates and consults pre-design, design, and construction tasks with Design Management and Execution team to take projects thru completion
• Manages and oversees both project and program budgets and schedules to meet the District’s qualitative standards
• Supervise the performance of staff and program participants; and also serve as a resource to staff members
• Prepares contracts for the delivery of program services
• Implements project or program policy guidelines and procedures; suggest improvements and implement approved changes
• Evaluates new developments and strategies affecting program objectives and results
• Prepares specialized reports, surveys, and other program descriptive information and materials
• Monitors program data and information collection methods and techniques
• Establishes metrics, standards, and dashboards to collect, organize, monitor and evaluate operational, service, and financial performance data for M&O projects and programs
• Reviews project/program needs; develops and recommends building programs and priorities, and coordinates planning activities for new repair, replacement, upgrade, retrofit projects and programs
• Monitors design, plans and coordinates school construction, modernization, and/or deferred
• maintenance projects
• Coordinate with technical personnel to estimate costs of building and alteration projects
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Required Experience:
• 12 years full time paid professional experience in Program/Project Management or Project Development with full responsibility for coordinating multiple commercial and/or public educational facility construction projects

Preferred Experience/Skills/License:
• Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
• Experience with the Division of State Architects (DSA) construction/design/certification process
• Experience with the Commissioning Process in new and existing buildings
• A valid California Driver’s License for us of an automobile as travelling will be required

Required Education:
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
