SENIOR PROJECT SCHEDULER
Program: Los Angeles Unified School District – Program Support Services
Salary Range: $85K to $110K annual, depending upon experience
DUTIES:
• Reviews Contractor’s Baseline schedule submissions and provides narrative.
• Performs QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for conformance with contract. Reviews critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones
• Performs schedule impact analysis for contractor change orders and conducts schedule negotiations for contractor change orders
• Performs Critical Path analysis and Earned Value analysis
• Tracks and gets involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules
• Walks the field, checks the contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress and provides reports to the project OAR and upper management
• Reads drawings to determine if work is in or out of scope, and understands terms and conditions of the contract to determine compensability, as well as concurrent delays
• Proactively anticipates schedule impacts and advises Project Team concerning the same
• Effectively communicates with the Contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters and concerns in the weekly status meetings and all other schedule related meetings
• Reviews, evaluates, and rejects or approves contractor recovery schedules
• Prepares reports as needed and directed by Management
• Performs status updates to Program Schedule/Master Schedule
• Communicates with Project Team and Leadership
• Performs Program Schedule QA/QC reviews and updates
• Creates project Ad hoc project schedules as requested
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience:
• 15 years full time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling, preferably in educational facility or public works project
Required Skills:
• Possess a working knowledge of architectural and engineering workloads
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior organization and planning skills
Required Education:
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proficiency in Primavera Project Planner (P3)
Preferred Experience:
Primavera 5.0 or 6.0
