Assignment: Los Angeles World Airports / Facilities Management Group (FMG)
Salary: $91.9K to $108.2K annual salary depending upon experience

Position Description Summary
Position will support the Utility Shutdown effort at LAX. The GIS Specialist will be responsible for managing the SCC project data relating to GIS, CAD, and Scheduling. The duties include modifying necessary GIS/CAD documents, efficiently analyzing USR data, and performing field verifications. This person will effectively translate utility data so that tracking changes at LAX’s utility infrastructure is updated.

Essential Job Duties
• Perform research and analysis on complex utility data from Utility Shutdown Requests (USRs) (e.g. diagrams, maps, and images) for updating electrical and mechanical As-Builts
• Check incoming data for conformance to LAWA data standards
• Collaborate with all stakeholders, including but not limited to SCC, IMTG GISSD, LAWA Engineering, to effectively manage utility data
• Update geometries and attributes of utility data on Airport Enterprise GIS (AEGIS) using AutoCAD Map 3D
• Perform necessary field verification using Collector for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Desktop
• Track and monitor panel schedule changes
• Retrieve mapping documents for the SCC Technical Working Group

Hardware/Software Knowledge
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite software (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Minimum 3 years experience using AutoDesk CAD software products
• Experience using ESRI’s ArcGIS software products
• Experience working with Enterprise level geospatial data.

• Background in Electrical and Mechanical Utilities
• Capable of adapting to various work environments based on the priority of that particular moment
• Works well under pressure, thinks critically, and adapts well in various working environments
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex, technical
• issues to a non-technical audience
• Works well both independently and in a team environment

Education/Training
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Element-Specific Requirements/Notes
• May assume other duties as required/needed
• May work overtime
• Maybe required to work various shifts as needed
